Akibat Tegur Anggota Polis Buang Sampah Pekerja Pembersihan DiPUKUL Dan DiLOKAP

"Depa (mereka) menendang saya hingga jatuh.

'Man shot me after accident'
2011/09/25

KUALA LUMPUR: A businessman said a man shot him in the waist after a minor car crash on Sept 17.

Datuk R. Jeevanthiran, 35, speaking from his hospital bed, said about midnight on Sept 16, he left home a car to meet a friend, S. Paramaguru, in Bangsar.

When he entered Jalan Bangsar, a black Proton Perdana bumped into the left side of his car.

Suspecting foul play, and looking at the fully-tinted windows of the Perdana, Jeevanthiran did not immediately stop. He slowed and stopped after about 50m.

The Perdana also stopped but the driver did not come out of the car.

Jeevanthiran drove for another 100m before stopping again. The driver of the Perdana did the same thing. When this happened, he called Paramaguru and told him what was happening.

He drove off and turned into Jalan Maarof about 12.30am and parked the car in front of the Arulmigu Sri Ramalingeswarar temple.

The driver of the Perdana did the same.

The Perdana driver, a man in his 30s, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans and sporting a cap, got out of his car and knocked on Jeevanthiran's car window.

Jeevanthiran opened the window and asked the man to wait, as he was waiting for a friend.

ANOTHER MAN CAME OUT OF THE PERDANA AND SHOWED JEEVANTHIRAN A POLICE GENERAL OPERATION FORCE AUTHORITY CARD AND ASKED HIM TO GET OUT OF THE CAR.

JEEVANTHIRAN, WHO WAS A MEMBER OF THE POLICE VOLUNTEER RESERVE IN JOHOR BARU FROM 2001 TO 2005, RECOGNISED THE POLICE ID CARD.

Paramaguru arrived, parked his Proton Perdana behind the first Perdana and approached them.

The four started talking about the accident. When Jeevanthiran said they should report the matter to the police, one of the men shouted expletives at him and Paramaguru.

When they wanted to leave, one of the men took out a gun, while the second person told him to shoot.

Paramaguru tried calming down the two men while asking Jeevanthiran to get into his car.

As Jeevanthiran opened the door, the man shot at him. He then tried to shoot Paramaguru, but the gun did not work.

The man tried again. This time the shot went off, but missed the target.

JEEVANTHIRAN SAID: "THE GUN THAT THE SUSPECT USED WAS AN OFFICERS' ISSUED SEMI-AUTO, MAGAZINE-TYPE WALTER PPK GUN."

Jeevanthiran, now bleeding, drove the car with Paramaguru to a private hospital, where he was rushed to the intensive care unit. Paramaguru called the police.

Paramaguru and two policemen went back to the scene only to find that his Perdana was gone.

Police checks revealed that the suspect's car plate was reported stolen about two weeks ago by the owner of a car, which is in a workshop.

Jeevanthiran said the doctor told him it would take at least six months for him to recover.
